Since i'v been home i've been back workingbehind the golf bar. totaly hate this job because time slows when your there. thers isn't much going on and alot of the popel you serve arnt the nicest of people.
anyway during it i've been reading V for Vendetta. David Lloyd is definatly a big influenece because he usese heavy shadow and relies on that to present the mood and drama amzingly. something i'm always trying and prity much relying on in my work. its all good though.
another genius of that is Caravagio. if you dont know of his work i recomend him.
just a quick boredom sketch. i prefer this to the one on my last post.

Got home for the chirstmas. very nearly stepped into the realms of no work even though i was just sat around doing nothing
so far i've been doodling a good chum called Duke. shes got a good look and very easy and nice to draw so i have been. non of these are poses for me in particular they are just from photos shes had of her in day to day stuff.
also a picture of V fromV for Vendetta krept in my mind when i was in my work so did that too. very quick and nasty that though so ignore it!

Human Assembly

Finaly the Film i've been storyboarding for by ironbox films has a website for the film.
so far its just a tempry homepageb ut were working on the final website which will have more artwork on it and a more interactive page with things to do.

On The Road Again

Well figurativy speaking. but finnaly getting over some horrible illness that beat me donw and handed in my essay so i'm feeling whirred up for getting back on track with my drawing and painting.
so far at the moment i got one project that i'm working on for uni that involves real drawing.
we've been allocated a big constrcution wall thats been placed on the campus. the aim is that we compete with each other and aim to be the one person out of 40 to be picked for the job of workig on the wall. we have to put forward all types of information and advertisement proposals and ideas etc.
so here you go heres a glimps at mine.
i've put it together properly but not happy with t yet so i'll post up the final one when thats done mean while this is a segment of the whole thing.
its alot to do with Darwin.

Full Steam Ahead

I haven't posted much up recently. this is down to just plain being lazy and Essay deadlines .....yadda yadda yadda. but the past weekend I've been like a machine on storyboard work for Iron Box Films. this film is getting more and more exciting and hopefully so is the stuff I'm churning out. I've had a lot of freedom with this so far so its been amazing experience.
if i could post up what I've done so far i would but i think i should be given an all clear for that before hand.
mean while I'm going to Dr Sketchy's Life drawing class in Bar Monsta again this Satarday so should have some loverly ladies posted up soon along with anything else I'm doing

i was a ad bored today and decided to paint my studio locker with an elegant lady. but on looking back at the pictures she didnt reallyturn out how i wanted her to in my head but hey ho it took about 20 minutes and thats what this whole thing is for just posting the quick and nasty stuff

Dr Sketchy Cont'd

so after a couple of sketches and a toilet break i'd started to loosen up and enjoy the lesson. it was like a typical art session. the director of the group gives you a time limit but also a theme. so say some poses he suggested placing her on a broom. stirring a cauldron or rising from a grave. which was prity fun. and after every round of drawing the director of the day picked out his favorite piece and gave the artist a prize and then an overall prize at the end of the day. as it went on i noticed my self getting prity competitive but it was my first time and it was fun. and it payed of in the end cause i won a runner up prize at the end. a loverly pair of tights and a water color set.
also a benifit from the day was seeing other people's styles and methods. i met one lady who was on her travels from Arizona and had been to one of these back in the states. she won first prize so that was cool to see seen as she had come the way and all. so all in all i was quite impressed by how this thing gets around. and i'm definatly going to the next one. the next one is dated as 3rd of November but where is to e announced. check out the site

Today i attended this life drawing class in Camden. but it had a slight twist. the life models where stunning burlesque ladies. so it was a tad bit better than drawing old worn women from my uni's model supply.
i arrived slightly late so i had to prop myself on top of the bar and draw from there. whilst sippibg on a tequila.( not that bad i thought)
at first it started quite nervously. my hands shaking from rushing to get there and plus being in an unfamiliar place and with strange people.

well the idea of putting the pictures up on myspace fell through because of their censor stuff and apparently it has to suit under 14s...hey ho never mind.
so i'll defiantly start using this bad boy now.....so here goes
welcome here if your any of my mates who missed it on myspace and hi to anyone new.
basically i'm using this for drawing practice to up my methods of drawing. especially females (because i'm a tad sketchy) and also working on my perspectives and anything else i think i need to work on which i think is a lot. anyway because of the lack of life models i can get to use i've been drawing from film, newspapers, and even porn so i hope no ones easily offended. but i know my own boundaries on how graffic i'll go.
anyway enough chitter chatter.
